Avoriaz has over 600km of nearby piste, and is ideal for families and snowboarders

Avoriaz stands proudly amongst the beautiful scenery in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps. Avoriaz is a gateway to the Portes du Soleil area, a network of villages which form the third largest ski area in Europe and the largest linked ski area in the world.

The plateau of Avoriaz offers a safe haven for beginners with plenty of nursery slopes, but is also the best place for the more experienced with good access to the most challenging slopes in the area.

Avoriaz, being the highest station in the area, is always likely to have good snow. It has a wide selection of restaurants with local flavour and nightlife, including lots of live music.

A paradise for those who relish a quiet, casual après ski. Horse sledges offer a taxi service in its traffic-free town centre.
