when to go skiing with the family
  • Avoid the cold and go late in the season

  • Avoid the last two weeks in February as the slopes will be very congested then due to school holidays in Europe

  • In France, schools children will continue to get a two-week winter holiday in February / March, followed by a two week spring holiday in April. To prevent resort overcrowding, these holidays are taken at different times between French regions.

  • In Belgium, there is a spring break in April of about 10 days.

  • In Germany, each state has different school holiday dates to avoid holiday congestion.
